Introduction
It is located at the distance of about 47 km from Tirunelveli and is known for its rich collection of its flora and fauna. Therefore the place is hugely popular among the Botanists and Ornithologists. The best season to visit the place is between March and September.

Kalakadu Wildlife Sanctuary
Located in the Tirunelveli district, the sanctuary has the lion tailed macaque, tiger, sloth bear, sambar, flying squirrel among its major inhabitants.
» Flora : The vegetation ranges from tropical wet evergreen to tropical dry deciduous. There are thorn forests down the hill as well.

» Fauna : Lion Tailed Macaque, Sloth Bear, Sambar, Nilgiri Tahr, Common Langur, Nilgiri Langur, Bonnet Macaque, Gaur, Elephant etc.
