Introduction
Tea Garden MunnarIt is a hill resort and is among the most popular tourism destinations. It is also a trade centre for tea as there over 30 tea gardens in and around Munnar. The place is situated on the confluence of three mountain streams and it is believed that this very fact gives the place its name. The place is ideal for the tourists as the picturesque landscape, the tea gardens and the weather of the place combine to give you that picture perfect tourism destination.

» Mattupetty : It is located at the height of 1700 meters and is known for being the site of the highly advanced dairy farm which is an Indo - Swiss livestock project. There are total 11 cattle sheds whereas only 3 of them are open for visitors. The Mattupetty lake and dam is only a short distance away and is a wonderful picnic spot.

» Lock Heart Gap : Those who are interested in adventure tourism and trekking are bound to like this place. The place also affords you a panoramic view of the areas nearby.

» Rajamala : The place is known for being the habitat of the Nilgiri Tahr. Half of the population of this rare mountain goat is found here. It is believed that their number is around 1300.

» Eravikulam National Park : This sanctuary was set up to preserve the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The park houses the animal in the largest number throughout the world. Atlas Moth, Elephants, Elephants, Gaurs and Nilgiri are some other wild animals in the park. The highest peak in the south India - Anamudi - is suitable for trekking which is within the park.

Kumarakom

Introduction
Kumarakom BackwaterKumarakom is a rejuvenating and captivating experience in the state of Kerala which is one of its kind. The place is full of swaying coconut palms as well as the beautiful paddy fields, lagoons and backwaters, mangroves where many rare variety of birds can be found. » Water Bird Sanctuary : It is a 14 acre sanctuary which is situated on the eastern banks of the Vembanad lake and it adds to the beauty of the place. The birds that can be sighted here easily are water fowl, water ducks, cuckoos, wild ducks etc especially during the summers. The Siberian storks visit this place every year.

The Vembanad Lake» Backwater Cruise : These are endless miles of waterways that are lined by the palms along the banks. These cruises are soothing and enticing at the same time and give you an unmatched experience that will last a lifetime. The backwaters afford you the opportunity to see the boat races, houseboat cruise and indulge yourself in activities like canoeing and fishing which is something you'd never like to miss.

» The Vembanad Lake : The vast network of rivers and canals in Kottayam pour everything into the Vembanad lake thereby turning it into an enticing picnic spot. The experiences on offer here are private boating, sightseeing and fishing experiences.

» Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls : The place is situated 18 km away from Kottayam and is a beautiful picnic spot where the waters make a splash from the height of 100 feet. Other nearby attraction here is the presence of rubber plantations.

Thekkady

» Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary : The sanctuary is situated in close vicinity of the plantations and has been declared a tiger reserve in 1978. There is an artificial lake here which was formed by the construction of Mulla Periyar dam which adds to the beauty of the park. Here you can have a look at the wild animals quenching their thirst from the safety of the boat.

» Kumily : It is a plantation town that is closely associated with Thekkady. Kumily is located on the periphery of the Periyar Sanctuary. It is an important centre for shopping specially for the spices.

» Murikkady : It is also an important spice plantation centre where you'll find a kaleidoscope of cardamom, coffee and pepper plantations.
